We have officially celebrated the opening of our new adult day service in North Shields, providing specialist support, activities and opportunities for up to 45 adults with disabilities from across the North East.Ìý

The facility, operated by Hedleys Horizons, was officially opened by Newcastle United legend John Beresford, who joined members,Ìýstaff and supporters for a special launch event marking a significant milestone for the Foundation.Ìý

While the service has been operational for almost a year, the official opening marks the culmination of an extensive period of development, investment and planning. During that time, the Foundation has focused on creating the best possible environment for members by securing specialist equipment, building an experienced staff team and carefully supporting individuals as they transitioned into the new provision.Ìý

Our new North Shields site will support up to 45 individuals through the wide range of pathways, activities and opportunities delivered by Hedleys Horizons, helping people to develop skills, build confidence, form friendships and achieve greater independence.Ìý

The development reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support for disabled people across the region.Ìý

The official opening reinforces the 91Ê×·¢ Foundation’s position as one of the UK’s leading disability charities, supporting hundreds of individuals and families through education, care, therapy and community services.Ìý
